Last night something strange happened. My daughter woke up crying like someone woke her up. (really irritated) It was only her and I in the house so I went to check on her and figure out what woke her up. When I went in she wouldn't look at me which is not like her at all. So I picked her up and she looked towards her dresser and started waving Hello, she started rubbing her eyes and then started giggling and clapping at this same area. It freaked me out so I started walking out of the room with her, she kept her eyes fixed on this same spot. Has anyone elses children done something like this?

Are you certain that she was really awake and not still asleep and possibly still in a dream? Because children that might be prone to sleepwalking can look like they're awake but still be in a certain cycle of sleep. I had a stepson who would look very much awake and would even talk to us when we would ask him questions, but we could tell by his actions that he was sleepwalking. And he wouldn't look at us when he answered. We would just gently guide him back to bed and he would never even know he had been up. It's pretty creepy, I know.

she was awake, she stayed up for 3 more hours playing and talking to the corner in a differant room. She is only 8 months so I put her in a playpen in my room.

Wow, When I read your story I thought the same thing you thought. Don't be afraid. It probably is someone in your family who has passed away that has come back to check in on you guys. There are two kinds of ghosts. Earth bound spirits who can interact with objects and are seen walking around. They are usually the angry ones. Spirits are friends or family members who are just visiting for a moment and like to see those who they have left behind. Like when you hear kids sometimes say oh I seen grandma last night in my room. Well they probably really did. That's because who's grandma doesn't love and miss there grand kids. They just want to visit. I'm no professional on ghosts or anything but I read a LOT about them and have had more than my share dealing with them. If you want to talk more email me. Hope it helps.

OMG.. totally creeped me out! lol. My son does this sometimes too, like will just stare at "nothing" and smile.. He actually does it a lot in the car but I just pretend he's looking out the window or something. ha! There was a previous post that was up here a few months ago about ghosts.. it was a really long thread but interesting to read--and creepy. Do you live on base? I've heard a lot of ppl talk about hauntings on base.

Yea I do live on base. I have read some of that thread it is very interesting. She has been doing it a lot since this post. I have just been brushing it off because other then waking her up at night it/they whatever isn't hurting her and it seems to make her happy.
