Is anyone else's husband's deploying in june??? This will be our first deployment and i was wondering if anyone else was going to be alone as well.. Is there any advice on how to make the time go by faster 

Where is he going? I believe my husband is also leaving. It will also be my first deployment. 

He is going to japan for 4 months

My husband is AMXS he is avionics, is the deployment set because they still didn't know if they were going. I need to ask my husband when he wakes up 

My husband is probably going on that deployment too, this will be our first deployment. When did they set it for sure, cause we haven't heard anything 

My husband hasn't heard anything yet either, he just got back from tdy in Vegas so he was gone for two weeks. Hopefully they will know soon, and not a month before 

I work at the community center and there are a lot of different areas going on this deployment. There's people from the OSS, AMXS, Security forces, and some firefighters. 

I heard it was in June! Im a little nervous its our first deployment. My hubby went tdy to Alaska a while back He did not go to Vegas thank goodness. Does anyone have kiddos? MAybe during this deployment we can have play dates or something! 

I have two kids a 5 year old girl and 2 year old boy. Plus one more on the way 

I have a 4 year old daughter will be 5 in august, a 2 year old son will be 3 in June, and another son that will be 1 in April. 

My husband went on the alaska one too, last summer right? I have an 8 month old girl. 

yeah last summer! my hubby loved Alaska we would not mind living there! Anyone else have a hubby that is weapons? 

My hubby is in weapons. He works in the back shop. We have gone threw 1 deployment already.(Afgan) You know it its scary but you all have a lot of support. If you ever just need someone to come over and sit with you then ask someone because having friends over helps a lot. And I will be honest I was kind of happy he was going because it helped me concentrate on me. When we got married I kind of lost touch with myself. While he is gone, take the time to explore things YOU always wanted to do. Thats how I learned I liked to make spray paint art. And also step back and look at your deployment. It doesnt have to be a negative situation. Yes I love my husband with all my heart and I would never trade him in for anything but it was a nice break. I dont have any kids but I would love to come and hang out with anyone who needs a buddy. I love to cook and experiment with recipes. I love to do fun and exciting art projects. (thats how I got into spray paint) And I love to watch movies. So holla at me if you would like to get together sometime. Thanks Camelia! I have never done this deployment thing but i want to be supportive in any way as well! I know Im going to need buddies, but I also want to be a buddy! 

And that is the best attitude you can have. The first month yeah will be hard but after that you guys will fly right threw it. I wonder if my own hubby will be going? Oh did you gals hear that we get 6 grand to go to school with? If your bored why not take some online certificate courses? That's what I'm doing cause they sure in the hell aren't hiring in town. Want more info let me know.

Wow guys...anyone ever heard of OPSEC? You put your husbands and their units in danger when you talk so specifically. 

I dont think we are posting anything that people dont already know! The newspaper even posts where we have troops going! 

I know don't freak out mrs.R. Its not like we are talking about when the unit is moving and what time they will be landing. Oh and what will they be wearing. I'm pretty sure the terrorists out in the world aren't to wild about hell hole Alamogordo/Holloman. This is not top secret info. Good lord. There is always someone who has to start the drama. No need to get your chonies in a bunch. If your hubby isn't in the group deploying or in the AMX then why don't you just walk away from the conversation. Thank you.

My husband is set to deploy also. I heard it was Guam though. My husband left for Korea when I was 5 months pregnant and got home when our son was 7 months old. Not looking forward to this deployment as I have an 11 week old. 

It's still between Guam and Japan but I think they said it's leaning more towards Japan. 

I hear it was set on Japan. It was Guam but they changed it. That is just what I heard.
